I honestly have no clue what is a non glitter topper - so I decided for my purpose that will be the beautiful water decals from Bornpretty store. And the base is a simple holo from Enchanted polish Future reflections. I love how this turned out! I wish I had more water decals because this is so fun and easy to do :)
Today's Sunday stamping challenge theme is Over a blue base. Recently I am super into gradients so I made a dark blue gradient with s bunch of polishes that have a lot of subtle shimmers in them. You know the shimmers that are usually not visible but if you use them as gradient polishes the shimmers come to life.
But then I put a lot of stamps over it and forgot to take a photo of the base gradient *Bad Bad Blogger* so I guess you need to take my word for it ;)
Here is a picture with a bit of flash because I just love how the lightest color pops on the tips of the nails :)
For the gradient I used Catrice Entering Atlantis and Gorger Blueney, China glaze Frostbite. The stamps are made with Mundo de Unas polishes and Pueen26 stamping plate.
By now I think all you lovely dolls that are with me for a while can tell I have a serious damask pattern addiction. And this month everything fell into place! I got the TNCC Challenge with Wallpaper theme and my favorite brand Catrice released this Limited edition full of new bottles and my favorite pattern. Not only this they had polish colors that come in my current favorite color combination gray and yellow! <3
So I decided to make a nice little gradient with the 2 polishes and make similar stamps to form a damask pattern. The polishes are both matte and where opaque in 3 layers. But if I would apply them normally they would be in 2 I bet. I kept it all matte and I love how it all turned out even the part when the pattern is less visible, makes everything seem more romantic and mysterious :)
Here is the picture of the bottles! I love the unique design! And I got so excited I had to take a lipstick from the collection as well. You can see the color on my Classy cupcakes post :)
For this mani I used Catrice LE Rock-o-co L'Ombre A Sanssouci and Soleil A Solitude. The stamps are made with Essence Stamp me!white and Lily Anna 08 stamping plate.
How amazing looking is the promo for the collection? Catrice you do know how to make me fall in love with your work :)
How do you like seeing swatches of polishes in this form?
I don't always wear colors but when I do I go all out :) Most of my clothes are all black but when I saw this sweater I couldn't resist. There is something about the combination of the happy colors and the morbid/realistic writing on top. And I think R.I.P. DIET is definitely a cool motto in these post-New Years resolutions times (my new years resolution was to make my blog more versatile). Since the sweater is so casual I wanted to pair it with some classy pants that have a bit of a bell bottom. And the new pointy stilettos that are coming back into Vogue are a perfect match.
Since the pants and the stilettos are so serious I mellowed them out with some neon pink lipstick and crazy blue hair. Because life is to short to have a boring hair color :)
The eyeliner is Catrice Liquid liner Dating Joe black and the mascara I used was Essence Lash princess. The lipstick is from Catrice LE Rock-o-co Madame de Pinkadour. Neon pink is not my color but I felt like it's a whimsical enough color to match the shirt <3
I have been in search of the perfect black pointy stilettos for quite some time. But all of them had the very high skinny heel that are extra hard on your feet. The other day I wondered in a random Tally Weijl and found these pretties. They are tall enough and the heel is thick enough to be easy to walk in. And the gold embellishment is not that bad either <3
Pants: New Yorker
Shoes: Tally Weijl
Do you ever pair something more classy with something whimsical?
I love Sailor Mars - and I think that because of her uniform I fell in love with the red and purple color combination. Since this part of the challenge is fire and she is the Sailor Scout of fire I think this mani fits the part. I only wish that the purple stamps would be a bit more visible.
The base is Femme fatale Scorchling. The stamps are made with hehe014 and 013 and Mundo de Unas polishes. The flames are made with MoYou London Biker 02 plate. I also added some star rhinestones because I love her purple star earrings.
And here is she in her fire glory mid transformation in the new Sailor Moon Crystal anime :)
Not all holos are in your face strong linear ones. And not all Sailor scouts are girly and flashy. So I wanted to make something subtle - and I got the inspiration from the gift my kid sister brought me a while back - it's a Sailor Pluto key chain <3
The polishes I used are Kiko Silk taupe as base. The stamps are made with Color club Beyond and hehe013 stamping plate.
There are things in life that keep kicking your ass but you will always keep on trying to master them. One of such things is water marble when it comes to nail art for me. But when it comes to playing League of Legends that is Orianna. She is pretty, her voice is so magical and is an endlessly cool design - but she is crazy hard to play. I just can't get a grip on her - so many styles, ways of play and the combos - don't get me started! But I still love her and try to figure her out.
She is a steam punk type of robot that uses a pet robotic ball as a weapon. I pasted the wallpaper that inspired me to do these nails. I wanted to make a gold and silver stamping combination full with electricity details and small cogs.
I use her splash art as a wallpaper so this will double as my TNCC wallpaper entry :) OMG I am so in love with her, so pretty and tough!
Orianna the Lady of Clockwork
For this mani I used S-he stylezone no. 340 as base. The stamps are made with Color club Harp on it, Star gazer no. 232, Catrice Bronze-deco and Barry M Gold foil. The stamps I used are QA63, hehe 11 and MoYou Back to the 20's 01. I added some extra gold studs to add that robotic feel.
Here is my last Bornpretty store review of their amazing Stamping plate BP-11. Like all their other stamping plates I had the pleasure to work with they are perfect! The etchings are deep enough and the patters are a bunch of different sizes which is always good.
Since my nails got reduced to nubbins I was scared that I won't be able to use the plate. But as you can see the best part of the radiating star and heart pattern is easily placed even on the small nails :)
For this mani I used p2 Go dangerous as base. The stamps are made with Stargazer no. 234 and no. 345.

If you are wondering what my New Years nails looked like ... look no further! I had the amazing chance to once more review an originalBorn pretty store stamping plate. It is called BP-18 stamping plate that is full of feathers and organic forms. I wanted to make a mani with layers since the feathers fit together! So I layered the two fathered patterns and they where a perfect match! The plate was easy to use, thou not all the patterns are the same size. But I like that even better since I can use only special parts of the stamp. Add some rhinestones and here are some perfect party nails! <3
For this mani I used Manhattan Blue party dress as base. The stamps are made with BP-18 and the stamping polishes are Essence stamp me! black and Barry M Gold foil. I added some extra rhinestones that I coated with a couple of thick coats of Seche Vite to smooth them out.
So for all your Nail art supplies needs head on over to BPS and don't forget to use the 10% OFF coupon RJL91 :)
Another day another Born pretty store review :) I am so lucky to be able to be working with their amazingNail artproducts and today's review is about the BP-14 stamping plate. It was the 1st time I used their own stamping plates and they are amazing! The etchings are perfect! The image sizes are different but that is amazing since you can use them on any sized nails and toes! I am in love with their plates so all I can say is KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BPS <3
For this mani I used Barry M Passion fruit as base, over it I layered OPI Spotted black. The stamps are made with Star gazer no. 232 and BP-14 plate.
I adore the new BPS plates and they are just as good as any others I got from them. So head on over to their store and don't forget to use the 10% OFF coupon RJL91 :)
I don't always play melee champions but when I do they have to be fuzzy - hence I only play Volibear or Udyr. As you can see from the pictures below he can change into 4 different animal shapes - tiger for speed, bear for stuns, turtle for defence and phoenix for setting it all on fire. And that is what I did on my nails - made a bunch of animal print nails. My favorite is the tiger one :)
For this mani I used OPI Where did Suzy's man-go?, China glaze Below deck, p2 Fever, Catrice The monkey gets funky, Britt chick, Essence Grey-headed lovebird, Kiko Lawn green, Mundo de unas, Essence stamp me!black and white. The plates I used are BM410, QA4 and HWH-05.
My favorite Udyr in game quotes: '' Stripes would be good camouflage if tigers weren't bright orange.'' '' The turtle is one part fortress, one part mobile home.'' '' Man, I love honey, but bees ...ugh!'' '' Emanating fire relay cuts down on comfy nest options.''
This months theme in my FB group The nail challenge collaborative is wallpaper. And I found this amazing one while trolling the Internet. It has everything I love - my favorite color combination and a cool logo. With these nails I felt like '' I'm Batman '' :)
I wanted to make nails that have the 3 main Batman colors - black, grey and yellow. Also I wanted to use as many bat stamps and a nice gold water decal.
Here is the cool wallpaper I found and used as my inspiration. It was created by this amazing artist I foundHEREgo visit and show him some love.
For this mani I used Essence Moonless night as base. The yellow neon glitter is Claire's Digi pop. Over it I layered stamps done with CA34 stamping plate and Essence Stamp me! black polish. The water decal is from Born pretty store.
I love how these turned out! I need to make more Super hero nails since they are all dressed up in such fun colors :)
I can't with pink and aqua - those are not colors I can do anything with. So it's cheating time for me! I used Jindie nails Betty's fetti milkshake as base and it has pink and aqua glitters in it - thats the challenge part :) The rest are colorful stamps made with Mundo de Unas polishes and QA90 plate.
I love these nails because they look so girly and cute - maybe also because of their silly size :)
The January theme in TNCC is wallpaper and since these have such a classic old school wallpaper patter they are perfect for this :)
I am a big nerd when it comes to Super heroes. And a big classic like Superman needs a good mani to represent. And the lovelyBorn pretty store folks send me these cool Water decals just for this occasion.
Like all the others these water decals are easy to use and to apply. I was a bit worried they might shrink under the top coat, but there were no problems. They are all golden and look like foil on the nails which creates a very nice effect that you can't achieve with any polish.
For this look I used basic red and blue that Superman wears. I wanted to make a nice city skyline with some big stars. I love how this turned out since the Superman logo is stealing the show.
For this mani I used Essence Grumpy as base. The stamping polishes are Mundo de Unas Red and Essence Stamp me! black. The stamping plates I used are BM410 and BM414.
So for all your Nail art needs you are welcome to visitBorn pretty store. And while you are there don't forget to use my 10% OFF coupon code RJL91.
